The purpose of this module is to help participants of the National Electricity Market understand why voltage control and reactive power management is crucial in high voltage systems. Please note, this is a non-accredited course and upon successful completion, learners will receive a Certificate of Completion – Voltage Control and Reactive Power.

In this course, participants will develop the skills and knowledge as stipulated in the following:

Importance of voltage control
Consequences of inadequate voltage control
Concepts of voltage control, reactive power and DC
Importance of power voltage curves
The role of the operator in voltage control

Participants in the National Electricity Market.
